HM2 Buck for Hope Foundation is to Educate the public, Elected Officials and all branches of the Military of sexual abuse and suicide. This abuse must STOP being brushed under the rug and dealt with! I started the HM2Buck for Hope Foundation because I am a mother of a 14 year Veteran Naval Corpsman who was sexually abused on a Naval ship by 3 Seaman , he then had to go on to his first duty station Camp Pendleton. For too long, my son lived with and suffered from this horrific abuse.
On Monday, April 29, 2019 my son “FaceTimed” me for 5 hours to tell me that he was unable to cope anymore and that he lost all humanity and dignity. His last words to me will stay with me forever; “Mom, when you believe in something you are a force of nature, please, please take up this cause to help end military sexual abuse.” He felt he had nothing left to live for and then I heard the bullet that took his life. The victims of this abuse have no voice and there are too many suicides in all branches of our military. Something has to change. Right now we are working with Protect
Our Defenders and several other groups. There is actually activity on Capitol Hill and with the Secretary of the Defense to make changes, but there is a long, long way to go.
THE SECRECY HAS TO STOP!
